New generation of Rameder Digitest diagnostic devices enhance independent workshops

More and more digitalised vehicles have become a real challenge for independent workshops as they cannot specialise on individual brands and require a wide range of diagnostic knowledge. In practice, often enough services are purchased from official contract partners which reduces the margin and costs additional time. An attractive alternative is offered by the latest generation of rameder. DIGITEST AVL diagnostic units, with which the independent workshops can remain their digital independence. With immediate effect, four variants are available on the market. Very much under the motto “full width and maximum depth”, an optimal vehicle cover is guaranteed which starts with passenger vehicles of Alfa Romeo and ends with the commercial vehicle electronics of Wabco.

As the largest European supplier of trailer couplings and transport accessories, Rameder has long since qualified as a reliable partner and supplier of workshops. Let alone, more than 1,000 companies belong to its own mounting partner networks. Based on the original aim of offering workshops an optimal digital enabling possibilities for trailer operation, a versatile diagnostic tool has been developed together with a leading partner for vehicle diagnostics, which has now been put on the market in the second generation. The functions include AutoScan, reading out and deleting of error codes, service reset, display of all relevant measured values, coding of assemblies and many other additional functions. Thus all standard “digital tasks” occurring in an independent workshop can be carried out with one unit only. All-in-all four unit variants are available currently: Digitest AVL 105 Basic, Digitest AVL 105 Professional, Digitest AVL 188 Basic and Digitest AVL 188 Professional.

Whilst the professional variants differ from the respective basic units by an extended scope of service, the product numbers refer to the respective unit versions. The 105 series is an interface which is operated by USB or Bluetooth in combination with an existing PC, tablet or laptop computer. The number 188 conceals a stand-alone solution which is based on an extremely robust, especially developed 13-inch tablet. This withstands not only oily hands, some splashes of windscreen washer fluid or a drop from the engine bonnet, and when used outdoors, the display can be read even in glaring sunshine.
